The Remington R8150 Dual Track is a mid-range, rechargeable shaver. At the business end it has a multi directional pivoting head with triple floating blades. It has a number of nice features and has thus far proved a very popular addition to the Remington fleet. The company have now been making electric shavers for many, many decades, so let’s take a look at what the Remington R8150 Dual Track has to offer:

This unit, as the name suggests, utilises Remington’s Flex and Pivot system, the super mobile head and free floating titanium-coated blades allow a contour hugging shave around your neck, chin and jawline, with the maximum of skin contact. The blades themselves are 300 times stronger than steel, so there’s certainly quality in the most important component. The Remington R8150 is a dual track cutting system, another asset that ensures maximum coverage on the face. There is a trimmer option that slides out for giving attention to sideburns or beards and helps you develop any contour lines you desire. The Remington R8150 Dual Track has an LED display to keep you aware of battery life and you get a good 60 minutes of shaving time for your charging time, which is unusually good.

A Comfortingly Robust Product for your Cash

Aesthetically, the Remington R8150 Dual Track is of a sleek black design and has a very comfortable rubber grip. It feels durable and sturdy, giving the impression that it is very much built to last. It corners amazingly around the face, thanks to that Pivot system and the flexible floating heads and gives a good, close shave.

Like the vast majority of electric shavers, if you try using the Remington R8150 Dual Track on stubble over about 7mm in length, you may experience the odd hair being ‘plucked’ out rather than shaved, but for regular shavers it’s a dream. After use, if you’re a little careless the head can flip up a tiny bit too easily, causing a mini cascade of cut stubble to fall into your lap/sink/whatever, but this is easily avoided once you’ve made this error the first time! This is a very minor con for what is actually a very decent little unit indeed. Also, this hair well is easily cleaned after use with the brush provided.

Very welcome is the knowledge that you put the Remington R8150 Dual Track on to charge overnight in its smart little cradle and know that you get more than enough shaving time when you next come to use it; particularly good if you want to take it away overnight and leave the charger behind. This isn’t a unit that will betray you after 10 minutes! Impressively, the LED unit can be almost on zero and the motor is still buzzing away confidently. As if to confirm this image of it as a perfect travel shaver, it comes with a travel pouch.

The price range of this model makes it attractive, considering the quality of the product you’re getting for your smallish outlay. The metal back of the Remington R8150 Dual Track reminds you that it’s not some cheap and cheerful plastic shaver and that it will last you some time.
